Ellen Franklin Receives Fellow in Temple Administration
Ellen Franklin, Temple Judea’s Executive Director since 2004, has become a Fellow in Temple Administration. This is a prestigious degree, placing Ellen among an elite minority of synagogue executives directors to have achieved this level of professional skill and excellence.
Most remarkable to note is that Ellen completed her studies while serving as Executive Director of Temple Judea and serving as a central figure in the development and construction of the new Temple Judea campus in Tarzana.
The FTA is issued by the Board of Certification for Temple Administrators, with acknowledgment from the National Association for Temple Administration, the Central Conference of American Rabbis and the Union of Reform Judaism.
Ellen has had a remarkable career, with 17 years in the entertainment industry specializing in sitcom development, serving as Managing Director of Synagogue 2000, and serving as Temple Judea’s Executive Director since 2004.
When asked why she decided to take on this challenging course of study, Ellen said, “It’s the ambitious person in me. I had to go as far as one can in my field.”
